Charlestown Eyecare has been offering comprehensive optical care for locals and residents within the City of Lake Macquarie and Newcastle for more than 30 years. We are a locally owned practice with Paul Dougherty as head optometrist, a prominent figure within the industry who has years of experience and specialised knowledge.

Working alongside him is Krysta Murray who is a therapeutically endorsed Optometrist. Our team is made up of talented individuals dedicated to achieving the highest standards of optical treatment and service. Charlestown Eyecare is equipped with the latest technology for accurate eye tests.

We provide comprehensive eye examinations, including glaucoma and macular assessment, children’s behavioural evaluation and automated fields. We also assess and manage dry eye patients and are competent in fitting rigid and soft contact lenses. Finally, we often treat and manage eye injuries and infections. Krysta can prescribe topical antibiotics, antivirals and steroids when needed.
